Our Mission

SHSU SNA's mission is to convey the standards, ethics, and skills that students will need as responsible and accountable leaders and members of the nursing profession.

Who Are We?

SNA is a student organization at Sam Houston State University that is filled with SHSU Nursing students and Pre-Nursing students! SNA is an organization that helps prepare students to have professional networking skills that they will use once they are a working RN. RN's attend and join professional organizations to keep up with all the changes that occur in the medical field daily. As  a member of SNA, you are able to learn about the nursing field through guest speakers in all different nursing professions.SNA gives back to the community through an array of volunteer opportunities from Huntsville all the way to Houston.

REQUIREMENTS:

Pre-nursing major or enrolled in the SHSU School of Nursing program.
Minimum of 10 hours of community service per semester.
Must attend 2 out of 4 General Body Meetings, 1 must be a speaker meeting.
Membership dues paid every semester.
